PASAJ was a laboratory of performing arts involved in creating mainly experimental performances which arise from state of facts that alter the usual behavior of individuals as well as societies today, from axes of change and nodes of tension that we consider decisive in the contemporary world. Also, we had a keen focus on finding a common training for dancers, actors, musicians, visual artists and on reaching through this a shared creative ground with no border between contemporary art fields (PASAJ = Passage). Founded in 2011 by the theater director Adriana Chiruta, PASAJ Company was placed at the 1st Floor of the Paintbrush Factory, Cluj, Romania.
„Ce rost ar mai avea Mefisto pentru Fauștii de azi?
Cu ce ar mai putea să-i tenteze acum, atâta vreme cât ofertele lui pentru Fauștii lui Marlowe sau Goethe se produc deja în serie, pentru mase întregi de consumatori și se pot obține printr-o simplă apăsare pe buton? Mai poate fi Mefisto demonic, așa cum a fost reprezentat în majoritatea producțiilor teatrale sau cinematografice de-a lungul timpului? Mai avem nevoie de Mefisto sau de alte creaturi supraumane pentru a avea acces la o dimensiune a răului? Nicidecum, oamenii se pot descurca foarte bine și singuri în această privință. O dovedesc din plin Unitatea 731 din Japonia celui de-al doilea razboi mondial, ororile regimurilor comuniste de pretutindeni, experimentele „științifice” ale naziștilor, pe scurt după toate atrocitățile secolului XX.
În pofida tuturor acestor argumente, nu am rezistat tentației de a introduce în scenariu un personaj atât de tragic și ridicol prin inutilitatea lui precum Mefisto. De dragul unor arome de demult (suflet, Dumnezeu, libertate) însoțite de o nuanță de aristocrație, mai fină decât cultura de masă, gustul de Coca-Cola, chips-uri sau Big Mac și decât atmosfera tipică pentru „commercial brainwashing”.”

4FAUST is a post dramatic and polyphonic performance about freedom and about completely losing it, an invitation to a journey into the world of commercial brainwashing, into our world (a brave new one) where humanity is ecstatically perorating about the pleasure of watching the screen while eating chips and Big Mac, about the preference of TV figures instead of the real ones, of monsters escaped from cartoons feeding themselves with human brain, of information taken from sciences and neuromarketing, of the supreme fulfillment of drinking Coca-Cola and praying to God in the same time.

FEED(me)BACK is a physical theatre performance that started from the fact that nowadays people hardly meet each other. We communicate a lot. We are always on the rush. We tend to be constantly reduced to tasks and jobs. But the actual presence of two human beings along with their imagination and playfulness, behind the production, sell or consumption of goods and services, it`s an experience that we start to forget. Being moulded exclusively on the encounter between the actor and the spectator, FEED(me)BACK is a minimalistic game with
and about ourselves, generated by an idea and a question. The idea belongs to Grotowski who pointed out that “the immediate contact between two human beings – the actor and the spectator – remains the ultimate and irreducible opportunity for the theatre.” And the question was and still is: how can we find, behind words, the most simple and effective ways to establish an immediate contact between the performer and the spectator, an immediate emotional contact and an immediate contact between the imaginary of the both of them?
Construindu-se pe întâlnirea dintre dintre două ființe umane – performerul și spectatorul – și pe un test regizoral și actoricesc extrem: renunțarea la orice element superfluu și exterior acestei întâlniri, FEED(me)BACK îți propune o reîntâlnire, dincolo de cuvinte, cu tine, cu propria ta imaginație și cu ceilalți.
